During August-October 1982 the USSR launched 27 satellites, including 21 of the Cosmos series of scientific research satellites. The objectives of several of these satellites are discussed and the parameters of the initial orbits of the satellites are presented. In addition to the research satellites, the Soyuz T-7 was launched to transport three cosmonauts to the Salyut-7 space station, while two other satellites were launched to carry fuel, scientific equipment, and other apparatus to this space station.
