Because the velocity of the late type, long period spectroscopic binary HD 92000 changes quickly from its greatest to its minimum value, the orbital period can be accurately determined from any series of observations that covers the downward branch of the velocity curve twice. The present observations fulfill this condition, and are more precise than those of Christie (1934). The orbital elements of the star are derived. No trace of the secondary spectrum could be detected, even with reticon observations made near the time of maximum velocity difference between components. The earlier suggestion that residuals of the radial velocity from the computed orbit contain a periodic term is not confirmed.
