A determination of theoretical intensities of the C III - C IV lines in spectra of O - B stars has been carried out on the basis of a detailed solution of the coupled statistical-equilibrium and transfer equations for a multi-line, multi-level, and multi-ion ensemble. Also the comparison of these data with the observed ones is given. It is found that an analysis of subordinate lines of these ions gives the carbon abundance not much different from the normal one. The resonance lines show a large difference between theoretical and observed values which is believed to be a result of stellar wind effects.
