The question about the origin of X-ray bursters in the Galaxy is
analyzed basing on binary star formation due to tidal captures in the
central region of the Galaxy and in globular clusters. It is shown that
about one half of the bursters outside the clusters could be formed as a
result of the dissipation of globular clusters.
