VLA contour maps at 1415 MHz and either 15-20 or 6-arcsec resolution are presented for two complete, overlapping samples of bright spiral galaxies, observed in December, 1981. The first sample comprises 30 galaxies with optical major diameter greater than 2.5 arcmin and face-on disk brightness temperature greater than or equal to 2.5 K; the second contains 39 galaxies (26 from the first sample) with B(T) super 0 less than 12 mag and ratio of radio to optical luminosity greater than or equal to 40. Additional data are presented in graphs and tables, and such general characteristics as radio spectra, radio and optical morphologies, superassociations, historical supernovae, integrated UBV photometry, and environmental influences are reviewed. The galaxy spectra are found to have 1415-MHz flux which can be 80-percent accounted for by synchrotron radiation, and the maximum face-on surface brightness of about 40 K at 1465 MHz is seen as consistent with Parker stability of the equipartition magnetic field. The implications for theoretical mechanisms of externally triggered star formation are considered.
