A study is made of the influence of observational selection on the catalog distribution of the apparent magnitudes and luminosities of double galaxies. A method is proposed for constructing the luminosity function of the components of double galaxies on the basis of an arbitrary sample of pairs of galaxies. The results are applied to the data of Karachentsev's Catalog of Isolated Pairs (1972). The obtained luminosity function of the components of the pairs is almost identical to the luminosity function of randomly chosen field galaxies. The presence of a correlation between the absolute magnitudes of the components of pairs is confirmed.
