High-sensitivity observations of the dust cloud TMC1 are presented for
all the hyperfine components of the N = 1-0 transition of C4H at 9.5
GHz. The results are shown and used to obtain an improved value of 1.3 x
10 to the 15th/sq cm for the densest part of TMC1. This value is about
four times greater than that given by Guelin et al. (1982).
