A survey of faint QSO candidates has been proposed to contain a large fraction of objects with extended images. The authors have obtained spectra of a significant fraction of this restricted sample, and find that most have broad emission lines at high redshift. A quantitative analysis of the image structures reveals no strong evidence for extended light around the objects at high redshift. It is concluded that this sample is in fact predominantly composed of classical radio-quiet quasi-stellar objects.
