We analyze a sample of 535 thin spiral galaxies from the FGC catalog that were detected in the HI line with the Arecibo radio telescope. For all these edge-on galaxies, the HI mass-to-light ratio lies in the range [0.08-0.9] M_solar / L_solar, while the total mass-to-light ratio lies in the range [0.4-15] M_solar / L_solar. The ratios MHI / M25 and M25 / L show a smooth change (by a factor of 2) along the Hubble sequence, but remain approximately the same for galaxies of different optical surface brightness. The mean HI surface density is the same, within the error limits, for giant and dwarf systems. In general, however, the ratio M25 / L increases from dwarf to giant galaxies, which is partly attributable to stronger absorption in massive disks. There is a linear correlation between the linear diameter of a flat galaxy and the amplitude of its rotation. This correlation is expected if the gaseous disks of dwarf and giant spirals are located near the boundary of gravitational instability which favors star formation.
