The recent completion of the Fourth Edition of the General Catalogue of Trigonometric Parallaxes (YPC) has enabled us to redetermine the trigonometric parallax of the Hyades Cluster based on individual measurements of the cluster member stars. Since the YPC has been carefully evaluated and corrected for systematic errors in both the absolute parallaxes and their error estimates, we believe that the derived distance modulus represents the best that can be done until the HST and Hipparcos parallaxes become available for duster member stars. Our adopted solution for the weighted mean parallax of 104 Hyades Cluster members is +0.02171 +/- 0.00059 arcsec s.e., which corresponds to a distance modulus of 3.32 + 0.06 mag. We believe that for the present time it is appropriate to adopt 3.30-0.05 mag as the most likely value for the distance modulus of the Hyades Cluster.
