After four years of taking data above the e+e- → W+W- production threshold, the four LEP experiments, ALEPH, DELPHI, L3, and OPAL, have collected a combined 2000 pb-1 of data and the preliminary measurement of MW is now seen to be systematically limited: MW = 80.401± 0.027 (stat)± 0.031 (syst)± 0.018 (FSI)± 0.017 (LEP)\ GeV . The statistical methods used by the different LEP experiments are compared and some of the more challenging systematic considerations currently limiting the W mass measurement at LEPII are discussed.
