We present the Rossi X-ray Timing Explorer (RXTE) observations of the SNR W50, associated with the jet source SS433. The observations cover the X-ray lobe found between SS433 and the eastern radio `ear' of W50. We combine the X-ray spectrum measured with the Proportional Counter Array (PCA) and the High-Energy Timing Experiment (HEXTE), with the ROSAT and ASCA spectra; thus covering 3 orders of magnitude in energy. We show that the spectrum is well represented by a power law model, and rule out the thermal interpretation of this part of W50. We discuss the non-thermal interpretation in the context of the interaction between the jets from SS433 and the surroundings.
