SimpArc is a system using unix csh scripts, mkisofs, and cdrecord to archive all raw CCD data from Whitin Observatory to CD-R. The data is saved in uncompressed directory trees in ISO9660 format with Rock Ridge extensions. In addition to the raw CCD images, a log file containing position, object, time, exposure time, filter, file name, and other information is saved with the data for use as an index to the images. This paper describes SimpArc's implementation, operation, and future improvements.
