The quasi-classical $\bar{\partial}$-dressing method is used to derive
compact generating equations for dispersionless hierarchies. Dispersionless
Kadomtsev-Petviashvili (KP) and two-dimensional Toda lattice (2DTL) hierarchies
are considered as illustrative examples.
