The 100 GeV domain is defined here as the as yet unexplored region, i.e. from 20 to 200 GeV, between space and ground based observations. This happens to be a region wherein lie major scientific issues. It is the ultimate energy region for which the Universe is fully transparent. The hope to detect WIMPs depends on new detectors. The few objects observed at TeV energies, such as the Crab nebula and the AGN's Markarian 421 and Markarian 501, are also visible at GeV energies. For them, this unobserved energy gap constitutes a domain of transition. For a variety of acceleration processes, cut-offs are expected in this 100 GeV domain, the observation of which should provide critical tests for models. We will describe the state of the art in the observations from space and from the ground and sketch the prospects of on-going projects. .
