An echelle spectrometer to be used for high-resolution spectroscopy in
the wavelength range between 900 and 1250 A with a resolving power of
R=10,000 was designed for the ORFEUS 1m EUV-FUV spaceborne telescope.
Synthetic spectra of hot stars and a white dwarf are shown.
