A set of 24 IUE SWP high resolution spectra of the VN6 Wolf-Rayet star HD 192163 obtained over 2 days in 1987, and 21 other earlier observations extracted from the IUE archives were analyzed. Significant variability is found in the P Cygni profiles of the excited transitions of N IV lambda 1718.55 and He II lambda 1640.4. The growth and decay timescale of these profile changes is of the order of a day. The possible origin of these profile changes is discussed in terms of the proposed WR+c candidacy and intrinsic variability of the WN6 stellar wind.
