The radiative equilibrium of gray atmospheres containing internal radiation sources is considered, using generalized models. Rigorous formulas and integral equations for determining the temperature distribution in the atmosphere are presented. An exact solution to the greenhouse effect problem has been obtained. A modification of the Eddington method for deriving approximate formulas is proposed. The results are pertinent to the study of the radiative equilibrium of stellar atmosphere.
