The possible excitation mechanisms of the metastable levels 2p2 1D2 and 2p2 1S0 of the ions [O III] in gaseous envelopes of Seyfert galaxies' nuclei are considered. It is shown that in a high-density gas, n(H) ⪆ 107cm-3, Auger's effect and charge transfer O IV+H I → O III+H II provide the high emissivity of the gas in the [O III] lines only by the low hydrogen and helium ionization, when ne ≡ n(O III) ≡ 105 - 106cm-3. Such situation is possible in H I regions where oxygen is ionized by soft X-rays (Auger's effect). The estimates show that the observed luminosities of the NGC 1275 galaxy nucleus in the 4959+5007 Å [O III] lines can be explained in a gas with hydrogen concentration n(H) ≡ 108cm-3 and do not contradict to the possible variability of the lines at a timescale of a month.
