High-velocity emission is found in the CH lines from the bipolar outflow sources AFGL 2591, AFGL 961, and NGC 2071IR. The wings of the line profiles are found to extend over more than 54 km/s in AFGL 2591 and 17 km/s in AFGL 961 (the blue wing only). The strong enhancement of CH abundance noted in the high-velocity gas is attributed to shock-induced chemical processes which are believed to produce CH efficiently in regions where the gas density is low. The relative line intensities between the satellite and the main line are shown to be close to unity for the blueshifted wings in AFGL 2591 and NGC 2071IR. It is suggested that the bulk of the high-velocity gas seen in CH originates in less dense gas than that seen in CO.
