Fine structure of the chromosphere in the Hα line can be used both for the detailed calculation of the magnetic field and for qualitative analysis of the field as a whole. The examples of two types of peculiar structure observed in the chromosphere are shown. They are singular saddle points and separatrices parallel to filaments. Their study could clarify some problems of solar physics. The saddle points are closely related with the problems of reconnection and primary flare energy release. Appearance of a saddle characterizes the relation between a vortex and potential parts of a field, which is very important for solar magnetohydrodynamics. Observation of the separatices being parallel to the filaments can be regarded as the factor determining the type of filament equilibrium in accordance with the models of inverse polarity.
