The authors present a catalogue of 176 H II regions in the nearby Sd galaxy NGC 300. Positions, dimensions, and absolute Hα fluxes are given for most of the regions, and new spectrophotometry for some. The luminosity function and the radial distribution of H II regions are discussed. At least four H II regions exhibit Wolf-Rayet spectral features. The metallicity gradient in NGC 300 is rediscussed in the light of these new observations.
