We present a study of all of the UV spectra of Seyfert 1 galaxies available from the Hubble Space Telescope Data Archives. We estimate the frequency of Seyfert 1 galaxies that show intrinsic UV absorption, and the covering factor in the line of sight for individual objects, to determine a lower limit to the global covering factor. We also investigate the evidence for variability in the equivalent widths and radial velocity coverage of the absorption components. For the Seyferts observed by both HST and ASCA, we have determined the UV and X-ray column densities to investigate the connection between the intrinsic UV and X-ray warm absorbers.
