Being the most abundant molecule, molecular hydrogen plays significant role in various astrophysical environments. In a dense medium the temperature derived from J=0 and J=1 rotational levels of molecular hydrogen is believed to trace kinetic temperature. Here we discuss our implementation of a complete model of the H2 molecule into the plasma simulation code Cloudy, and show in which parameters (density and flux) T10 traces the kinetic temperature. We also compare the 21cm spin temperature and temperature deduced from H2 column density along the line of sight of HD185418.
