We show that a parameterized phase function we have previously proposed could be used profitably in calculations of electromagnetic wave propagation in the interstellar dust medium. For wavelengths greater than about 0.6 μm this phase function is demonstrated to be more accurate than some of the other phase functions being used in this context.
