Before the Goddard High Resolution Spectrograph (GHRS) was removed from HST in February 1997, the STScI GHRS Group made some changes relating to GHRS calibration. These changes include: an alternative method for calculating and removing background from observations, updates to most of the sensitivity files based on updates to the reference star data and improvements and corrections to other calibration reference files. We will specifically highlight improvements that have been made recently and that may be made in the future by STScI.
