No direct determinations of masses for stars of the halo population currently exist. A number of halo spectroscopic binaries have recently been identified, and the system HD20039 appears to be resolvable with the HST. TRANSfer mode observations with the FGS will be used to obtain separations, position angles and magnitude differences at six orbital phases. When these data are combined with the spectroscopic elements, the orbit can be completely specified and the masses of the components determined.
