The rich emission line spectrum of the symbiotic nova RR Tel provides one of the best laboratories for testing recent theoretical calculations of Einstein A-values and electron collision strengths. The GHRS provides the dynamic range, resolution and ability to handle fixed-pattern noise to make possible a systematic study of RR Tel with the aim of determining the accuracy of astrophysically important atomic data. These data include those used to measure electron densities in a wide variety of systems, such as the atmospheres of late-type stars and planetary nebulae. We will construct Empirical and semi-empirical models of the nebula of RR Tel based on a wide set of density and temperature diagnostics, and examine (and include) the effects of inhomogeneities on the inferred constraints derived for atomic transitions.
