We present a formalism for analyzing the thermodynamics of two-dimensional black holes in finite-sized systems. The thermodynamic variables are defined on a quasilocal surface and are obtained for a general class of dilaton theories of two-dimensional gravity. We also consider the effects of electromagnetic and Liouville matter fields. We illustrate the formalism by computing the thermodynamic properties of two black hole solutions: one obtained from a string-inspired theory and the other being a black hole in the ``R=T'' theory with a Liouville field.
