Measurements of the low-redshift IGM are critical to our understanding of large scale structure in the universe and the interaction of galaxies with their environment. Lyman alpha forest measurements do not provide accurate measurements of hydrogen column density or Doppler b. Using higher Lyman lines in conjunction with Lyα , we can constrain N and b much more accurately using curves of growth. These data are typically available in FUSE observations up to z ˜0.2. Also available in this wavelength range are absorption lines from OVI 1032,1038 associated with the Lyman absorbers. We find that the column of hot, ionized OVI is largely independent of the neutral column implying a multi-phase IGM.
