In the course of our ongoing radial velocity survey of cool dwarfs with large proper motion, we have identified a number of entries with very high space velocities relative to the Sun. Although none of them provide new constraints on the escape speed from the Galaxy at the solar circle, some are in strongly retrograde orbits while others are in orbits of remarkably low angular momentum. At least one appears to be a spectroscopic binary, judging from significant radial velocity variability, and nearly all of them are bright enough to be easily accessible targets for detailed spectroscopic followup.
