We report on an analysis of optical spectra and radio flare data of V711 Tau and β Per that were obtained simultaneously in 1996 February. The optical spectra were obtained with the 0.9m Coude Feed Telescope at Kitt Peak National Observatory and include the Hα line profile. The radio flare data were collected with the Interferometer at Green Bank Observatory. The Hα spectra have been compared with the 2.3 GHz and 8.3 GHz radio fluxes collected during that time.
