We report results of 1435 MHz rapid variability observations of the southern extragalactic sources PKS 1921-293 and PKS 2155-152. Both objects displayed variability in their flux densities on timescales of the order of one and two weeks, respectively. A brief discussion on the origin of this variability is presented, with a comparison of different models that could account for the observations.
