Scientific paper

The statistical analyses of the metric type II bursts, coronal mass ejection (CME) and Hα flares duration the 23rd solar cycle are carried out in this paper. It is found that the relation of the long duration Hα flares, CMEs and type II bursts is closer than those associated with type III bursts. The CMEs associated with type II bursts may occur before and after the Hα flares, and 91% of the Hα flares of the long duration occur 23 minutes before CMEs on average. The higher the energy of the Hα flares and the faster the initial velocity of the CMEs. We qualitatively explained these observational characteristics.
