Stranglets are lumps of strange quark matter, in the research of which many important branches of physics are involved. If strangelets exist in reality, our knowledge about dark matter and compact stars should be improved, and physicists have also an additional way to study the elementary color interaction. Strangelets could be one of the components of cosmic rays, especially of ultra-high energy cosmic rays. Therefore, it is very important to investigate the production, the propagation, and the observational features of interacting with the terrestrial atmosphere of strangelets as cosmic rays. The recent achievements of strangelets are reviewed, with attention being paid to the above issues.
