UBV(RI)c photometry of 443 E-region stars obtained in Sutherland over 10 years is presented and discussed. The results reflect favourably on the quality of the observing site and on the quality of the magnitudes and colours derived mostly by Cousins for the E-region standards. Significant corrections have been found necessary for the currently accepted (U-B) colours of a number of stars.
