We have recently used the Mopra telescope and the molecular transition of (13) CO to trace the distribution of molecular gas toward 24 southern bright-rimmed clouds. To complement these observations we propose to make radio continuum observations (3 + 6 cm) with the Compact Array which will allow us to trace the distribution and morphology of the ionised gas surrounding these clouds. Together these observations will allow us to determine in which clouds the star formation is likely to have been triggered.
