Observational results and theoretical models concerning the configuration and dynamics of the Titan hydrogen torus are reviewed. The formation of other neutral gas clouds (H2, O, and N) and their physical interrelations are emphasized. The exosphere of Titan as an interface between the hydrogen torus and the ionosphere/upper atmosphere driving the synthesis of complex nitriles important to prebiotic chemistry is outlined. A combination of the orbiter measurements in the Saturnian system at large and during close encounters with Titan (with a comprehensive package of aeronomic and magnetospheric instruments) is well suited for detailed investigation of this wide range of interlocking issues.
