Abundances of major components of the Titan atmosphere as well as vertical and horizontal distributions of stratospheric compounds are discussed. Implications of the presence of oxygen compounds are considered. Monodeuterated methane is the only detected isotope. The possibility, based on laboratory simulations, of the formation of complex organics in the stratosphere is mentioned.
