The authors present the first results of a study on a sample of spiral galaxies in Virgo and A 1060. They show that H I deficient cluster galaxies, and non-deficient galaxies, have rotation curves with characteristics similar to those of non-cluster galaxies. There seems to be an indication of a correlation between the H I galaxian diameter and the extension of the region over which H II is detected. The mass to luminosity ratio increases outward and, at a distance of about 10 kpc from the galaxian center, it is about M/LB = 5 M_sun;/LB_sun;. If the non-luminous mass distribution is approximated by an isothermal sphere, it is found that the visible mass is about 15% of the total galaxian mass. An extended Hα feature detected in monochromatic imagery of the galaxy NGC 4438 is interpreted as due to the bow-shock generated by the motion of the galaxy in the intergalactic medium.
