In this paper, investigations of median spectral index versus flux density for sources selected at low frequencies are presented. A brief description of the flux density measurements and the derivation of the spectral index distribution for a sample selected from the Bologna B2.3 survey with flux densities in a range where median spectral index seems to change rapidly, is given. Median spectral index versus flux density of 408 MHz based on the present data as well as those available in the literature is compared with the predictions of various evolution models.
