The diffuse radio source near Coma A has been observed with the Westerbork Synthesis Radio Telescope at frequencies of 608.5 and 1412.0 MHz. Making use of the high dynamic range mapping capabilities of this instrument, it has been discovered that this source possesses a morphology suggestive of a relic radio galaxy. A 16-mag galaxy is the most likely optical identification for the source; the physical conditions which obtain, given this identification, have been calculated. The source morpholoy, polarization, spectrum and total extent are consistent with an interpretation as a relic radio galaxy. Other possible interpretations for the source, such as a radio halo or a physical association with the background source Coma A, are discussed but considered to be unlikely.
