NGC 5194 is a nearby face-on spiral galaxy whose inclination and morphology make it an optimal target for studies of the ISM (interstellar medium) across the disk of a galaxy. Using the Spitzer Space Telescope IRS (Infrared Spectrograph), we have spectrally mapped a radial strip across NGC 5194. The strip covers a range of dynamically distinct regions allowing us to probe the conditions of the warm molecular gas throughout NGC 5194. We present spectral maps of the molecular hydrogen emission features and use them to measure the mass and temperature of the warm molecular gas. The warm molecular gas distribution is compared to the cold molecular gas distribution that is traced by CO (J = 1-0) emission.
