Short term (weekly) prediction of focus has been done by grouping the value of focus for quiet days (Ap less than 10) and for disturbed days (Ap greater than 10), so that focus can be considered as a function of the solar activity index and the magnetic activity index. Further, the weekly average value of focus for each hour which is related to the weekly average value of the solar activity index and the magnetic activity index for each group is calculated by using second order polynomial. The prediction factor is determined from the difference between the weekly average value of focus for disturbed days and for quiet days. If the prediction factor is combined with focus for quiet days, the weekly prediction model of focus can be obtained. This paper describes the weekly prediction method and the calculated weekly prediction of focus with the predicted errors.
