Saturn Satellites: Ephemerides, Saturn Satellites: Mutual Phenomena
Scientific paper
Every 15 years the Sun and the Earth are close enough to the orbital plane of the Saturnian satellites to induce phenomena: one can observe eclipses and occultations of these satellites by Saturn, transits and shadows on the planet, and mutual eclipses and occultations. This period spans from 1992 to 1999 but this is only between the end of 1994 and the end of 1996 that we could observe the best observable phenomena useful for astrometric studies. The authors give an overview of this new period of eclipses and mutual events of the Saturnian satellites.
