The candidate Anomalous X-ray Pulsar XTE J1810-197 (ATEL #188) has been observed with XMM-Newton on September 8, 2003 from 13:30 to 16 UT and from 17 to 17:30 UT. The 0.6-10 keV spectrum obtained with the EPIC PN camera is inconsistent with a single power law. The spectrum can be fit by a two components model consisting of a blackbody with temperature kT=0.67 +/- 0.01 keV and a power law with photon index 3.8 +/- 0.2.
