Experimental results are presented on 203 families of gamma-families formed by particles with an average energy of 20 TeV. It is shown that jets in the hadron fragmentation region have a physical nature and are not just a manifestation of fluctuations of the angular distribution of the generated particles. The portion of events with the jet effect amounts to 20 percent.
