A statistical base is developed from rotation rates and other parameters of two Algol-type binaries, in order to deepen understanding of rapid rotation in Algol primary stars and possible evolutionary links to the W Serpetis systems. A process is presented by means of which self-consistent solutions that fit the data can be obtained, in cases where the wavelength dependences of computed stellar atmosphere fluxes disagree with those of the observed binary.
