Attention is given to the optical and H I morphology and dynamics, and the modeling, of NGC 3448 in order to deepen current understanding of amorphous-type galaxies. A striking variation of color indices is visible across the face of the galaxy. The VLA is used to perform a complete synthesis of the 21-cm line emission, yielding a morphology that is perturbed by tidal interaction with its dwarf companion. Tidal material appears to be reintegrating with the galaxy and causing the obscuration observed in the optical region.
