High resolution spectroscopy (λ/Δλ ≈ 104) of the hydrogen Brα and Brγ lines of a recently formed luminous star NGC 2024-IRS 2 is presented. The lines are Doppler-broadened with FWHM about 63±5 km s-1 for Brα and 122±34 km s-1 for Brγ. The line-of-sight velocity vLSR of the center of the emission is about 45.9±1.1 km s-1 and 21.8±1.8 km s-1 respectively. A brief analysis of line profiles shows that the observed difference of vLSR of Brα and Brγ and their relative broadening are consistent with an accelerated stellar wind (vexp ≈ 100 km s-1 at R ≈ 5×1013cm) combined with a rapid rotation of gas (vrot ≈ 100 km s-1).
